The Role
The SEO Manager will play a key role in defining and implementing strategic initiatives aimed at driving organic traffic and improving content discoverability on homedepot.com. This position involves leading a team to implement SEO best practices, collaborating with cross-functional teams (Merchandising, Marketing, Engineering, and external partners), and providing thought leadership to advance SEO systems and practices within the company. The role is focused on managing enterprise-level projects, driving SEO efforts, and fostering the development of resources within the SEO team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Business Collaboration (40%): Lead SEO workstreams across enterprise-level projects, ensuring timely delivery of project deliverables and alignment with expectations.
  • Project Management (15%): Outline goals, dependencies, and risks for planned projects, ensuring business cases support new projects with projected benefits.
  • Relationship Management (20%): Oversee direct and indirect reporting relationships, ensuring team members are properly trained and performing effectively.
  • Training and Development (25%): Conduct training/knowledge sharing to maintain newly delivered capabilities and support the SEO team’s ongoing development. Stay ahead of SEO industry changes.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in e-commerce or SEO with proven results.
  • Strong knowledge of SEO tools (Google Search Console, Lumar, Brightedge, etc.).
  • Experience managing teams or mentoring others.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams and communicate SEO concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical skills, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
