Netflix is seeking a Manager, Sustainability Creative to join their Content Production Operations team in Los Angeles. This role involves leading creative strategies that promote sustainability initiatives across various content platforms.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in creative direction, sustainability advocacy, and content production. Responsibilities include collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop compelling narratives, overseeing the execution of creative projects, and ensuring alignment with Netflix’s sustainability goals.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Serve as a subject-matter expert, providing support to internal teams, show and film creators, and industry stakeholders.
  • Stay ahead of sustainability trends in filmmaking, as well as emerging narratives in media (articles, books, podcasts, etc.).
  • Develop resources such as reference decks and tip sheets to support internal and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain an up-to-date reference library of sustainability in films and shows, articles, research, IP, etc.
  • Manage project workflows, including tracking creative queries, managing timelines, and measuring outcomes.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in the entertainment industry, particularly in scripted genres.
  • Strong understanding of a broad range of sustainability topics and trends
  • Strong ability to build relationships and communicate with content executives, various internal teams, and external stakeholders.
  • Proven research skills with the ability to synthesize complex information from various sources, including academic studies.
  • Experience collaborating with industry groups and research organizations. 
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives independently.
  • Ability to handle a fast-paced environment, simultaneously assisting and/or supervising several projects in various phases.
  • A plus: Advanced degree in Environmental Engineering, Science, Policy, Management, or a related field - or equivalent experience.
