Freelance Social & Content Executive

About the Role

We’re expanding, and we’re on the lookout for a talented freelance content creator to join our passionate bunch of creatives at Mogfish Marketing. We're looking for someone who can craft epic social posts, compelling blogs and nurturing newsletters to join our growing digital team. You're a natural storyteller with an eye for what works, a curiosity for what's next and a genuine love for bringing brands to life online.

Our small (yet mighty!) marketing crew is about creating work that feels authentic, drives results and makes people stop and pay attention. If you're the kind of person who loves creating epic captions, diving into trends and wants to be part of a supportive, down-to-earth team, this could be your role.

This is a fully remote role. However, our ideal candidate will be based in Dorset, UK to allow for occasional in-person meetings.

What You'll Be Doing

You’ll work closely with our Creative Director to develop standout content for our wonderful clients. Your work will make a meaningful difference for their brand and fuel their growth through impactful, high-quality creatives.

• Creating content that works: You'll design and produce engaging content for Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, websites and newsletters that resonate with adventure, tourism, lifestyle and outdoor brands. Every piece should feel on-brand, visually distinct and strategically sound.
• Collaborating with us: Work closely with our Creative Director to brainstorm campaigns, share fresh ideas and bring creative concepts to life. We genuinely love new perspectives and welcome your input, always.
• Building community: Engage authentically with online communities, helping brands grow through storytelling that feels real.
• Staying ahead of the curve: Keep your finger on the pulse of content trends, platform updates, and what's capturing attention right now. Bring those insights to the team.
• Delivering quality: Champion creative excellence in everything you produce. Our work needs to reflect credibility, quality and a modern, adventurous spirit.

What You Bring

The Essentials:

• Exceptional writing and communication skills. Your words speak for themselves
• A natural ability to tell stories that connect and engage
• Social media fluency, particularly across Instagram, LinkedIn and TikTok
• Strong organisational skills and a track record of meeting deadlines
• Self-motivation and the ability to work independently in a remote setting
• A curious mind that loves researching trends and bringing fresh ideas to the table
• Enjoys creating epic videos and engaining carousel graphics

Experience and requirements:

• At least 1 year of content creation experience
• Have a portfolio showcasing social media content, blogs or newsletters you've created
