Web Developer / SEO Specialist

Jaclyn Hope Design
Contract
Remote
Worldwide
$35 - $45 USD hourly

I'm the owner of Jaclyn Hope Design, a brand and web design studio outside of Seattle, WA. We produce high-quality, converting brands and websites, with detailed SEO work on every site. Our clients are both service and product-based businesses. The majority are women entrepreneurs and business owners. We have a small team of designers and developers and are looking to add one more independent contractor to our team.

We're growing at break-neck speed and need regular support moving forward with more technical tasks. I need someone with technical web skills and SEO knowledge with the ability to work on most platforms and learn new platforms and skills quickly. Our clients are on Wordpress, Squarespace, Shopify, and occasionally others. I'd love to work with sometime who is independent and can tackle projects without a lot of oversight, troubleshooting tech issues with ease. You can code html/css proficiently. You won't need to communicate with clients in this role, but an understanding of who our clients are and the quality of work they expect is crucial. I'm a super supportive and accommodating person - but I also need someone who is dependable and can meet deadlines with high quality work.

Common tasks and projects:

  • Routine website edits, updates and troubleshooting - must be proficient in CSS.
  • Foundational SEO on new or existing sites
  • On-going monthly SEO work (strategy and implementation - being able to say, "hey, I think this client would benefit from 'xyz') - Schema markup editing, keyword research and targeting, looking for missed opportunities or errors, etc.
  • Sort through technical errors, sitemap and indexing issues, etc.
  • Running audit and analytics reports, creating client-facing reports
  • You MUST have experience with Wordpress and Elementor. It's our most popular platform.

Details & Requirements:

  • This is a contract position on a as-need basis. I'm estimating 8-10 hours per week to start with future opportunities as the business keeps growing. It's not always guaranteed, and some weeks are slower than others, but you must be able to work at least 8-10 hours per week.
  • Sometimes quick turn arounds happen. Occasionally you'll be asked to finish small projects (1-3 hours) within 2-3 business days. Most other projects (usually 3-6 hours of work at a time) have a 4-7 business day turn around. I'm happy to work around your schedule.
  • You must be based North America and you must be within 3 hours of PST.
  • This will be paid weekly at an hourly rate $35-45 per hour depending on experience and skill.
  • If brought on, we'll start with a couple of projects to see how you do and if we're a good fit together.

Please complete the form below if you're interested. The form will CLOSE on Monday May 5th and I will interview the top candidates soon after. You can learn more about us at jaclynhope.com. Feel free to email me if you have additional questions. jaclynhopedesign@gmail.com
