We’re looking for a freelance Community Manager to help us nurture, grow and elevate our offline business strand 🌱
The Role
You’ll work closely with the founder to support the growth and experience of The Selfhood community across digital platforms and in-person events.
This is a part-time freelance position (approximately 20 hours per month), ideal for someone organised, proactive, and deeply aligned with intentional community building.
What You’ll Be Doing
Community & Engagement
- Actively engaging inside our WhatsApp community
- Supporting member experience and nurturing connection through conversations both URL and IRL
- Creating thoughtful feedback experiences post-events or workshops
- Identifying ways to strengthen belonging and participation
Email & Communication
- Building and managing emails in Flodesk
- Supporting newsletter creation and community updates
- Maintaining consistent tone and clarity across communication
Events & Experiences
- Supporting event planning and logistics
- Liaising with venues and event spaces
- Sourcing and pitching partnerships
- Creating pitch decks and partnership materials
- Capturing content at in-person events (photo/video)
- Supporting smooth delivery on the day
Partnerships & Growth
- Researching aligned brands, venues, and collaborators
- Outreach and relationship building
- Helping grow The Selfhood ecosystem strategically
Organisation & Operations
- Keeping files, documents, and assets organised
- Supporting internal systems and processes
- Website updates (Squarespace)
You Might Be a Great Fit If You:
- Have experience managing communities (WhatsApp, Slack, membership platforms etc.)
- Are confident using Flodesk and Squarespace
- Have supported events or experiential activations before
- Feel comfortable pitching and building partnerships
- Are organised and proactive (you don’t wait to be told what to do)
- Care deeply about people feeling seen and included
Most importantly you understand that community building is about belonging, not metrics.

Details
- 20 hours per month to start with (with flexibility around event periods)
- Remote, with in-person support required at London-based events
- Ongoing freelance contract
