The Bronx Burners Run Club, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to building and strengthening the Bronx running community, is seeking a creative and enthusiastic individual to join our Junior Board as the Social Media Strategist. This role is crucial in expanding our digital presence, engaging with our community, and attracting new members through effective social media strategies. This position is part of our Associate Board of Directors, constructed of high performing young professionals looking to expand their network, experience, and impact.

General Responsibilities

  • Content Strategy & Creation: Capture/Source and produce high-quality videos and photos during club activities, practices, and events for use across our social media platforms. Develop engaging and relevant content that reflects the Bronx Burners' mission and values.

    Social Media Management: Handle all social media accounts for the Bronx Burners, including Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok. Build and maintain a strong online presence that engages our current members and attracts potential new runners.

    Brand Development: Provide vision and direction for the club's branding efforts, ensuring consistency across all platforms and communications. Develop and implement strategies to enhance the Bronx Burners' digital identity.

    • Strong passion for running and community development in underserved areas
    • Experience with social media strategy and content creation
    • Proficiency in graphic design and video editing software is a plus
    • Familiarity with website management and newsletter platforms
    • Understanding of digital marketing trends and best practices
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

    Time Commitment

    • Flexible hours for digital marketing activities and strategy development
    • Dedicate time for content creation, social media management, and communication tasks
    • Attend weekly practices on Wednesdays at 7 pm at Macombs Dam Park
