Role Description: As a product marketing manager at MagicSchool, you will  lead the development and execution of product positioning, messaging, and launch campaigns, including crafting compelling content. To execute on this you’ll build buyer personas and have a detailed understanding of our buyer’s journey.  

This role reports to our Head of Marketing.

Responsibilities: In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Develop  Go-to-Market Campaigns  & Streamline Communications: You'll collaborate with cross functional teams to ensure product launches are communicated efficiently and effectively to our internal & external audiences.  Creating compelling go-to-market campaigns that coordinate product, marketing, sales and cx teams and resonate deeply with our audiences. 

  • Develop Data-Driven Product Positioning & Messaging: You'll develop persona-specific positioning and messaging for products and features, ensuring alignment with customer needs and optimizing content for maximum impact across all channels. Working to ensure this messaging is updated throughout the content on the buyer’s journey and via various internal stakeholders. 

  • Enhance Customer-Centric Collateral: You'll create and optimize case studies, sell sheets, decks and website content to ensure that our product positioning resonates with our buyer personas and is up to date with our latest features. 

  • Optimize Buyer Journey & Persona Development: You'll lead the development of buyer personas and journey mapping to ensure internal teams have a clear understanding of who our buyers are, their drivers and the ideal path we must build for them. 

  • Empower Teams with Competitive Insights: You'll equip sales and cx teams with competitive battle cards and training to ensure they are prepared to eloquently speak to our differentiation and value  in sales and renewal conversations. 

Qualifications/Competencies/Skills:

You bring the following skills:

  1. Strategic Product Positioning & Messaging: Expertise in crafting data-driven product positioning and messaging that resonates with target personas and drives engagement across various channels. This includes the ability to write content that our design team can translate into high-value pieces. 

  2. Go-to-Market Campaigns: Deep experience at crafting and executing multi-prong marketing campaigns to launch products and features for a SaaS platform. Measuring campaign impact with feature or product adoption.  

  3. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Strong ability to work with executive leadership (CEO), marketing, sales, cx and product teams to streamline processes and ensure alignment on product launches and communication strategies.

  4. Data-Driven Marketing & Analysis: Proficiency in leveraging analytics and performance data to optimize buyer personas, refine the customer journey, and track the effectiveness of messaging and product content.

  5. Sales Enablement & Competitive Intelligence: Skills in creating high-impact sales collateral and providing actionable competitive insights through battle cards and team training to improve win rates.

  6. Project Management & Execution: Strong organizational skills to manage product launch timelines, ensure timely delivery, and drive efficient cross-team collaboration, keeping initiatives on track and within scope.

Experience:

You have:

  • 5+ years of experience in product marketing, demand generation, or a similar role, with a focus on product positioning, messaging, and launches.

  • Proven track record of leading product marketing campaigns and launches, collaborating with cross-functional teams (e.g., leadership, product, sales, and marketing) to bring products to market efficiently and effectively.

  • Experience developing and optimizing buyer personas and mapping buyer journeys, using data and insights to drive more personalized marketing and sales strategies.

  • Demonstrated experience in creating collateral and product marketing materials, such as case studies, sell sheets, product videos, infographics, and competitive battle cards, with the support of a design team that can create a  measurable impact on sales and marketing outcomes.

  • Strong analytical skills with experience in using data to measure the success of marketing initiatives, optimize messaging, and improve product positioning to drive business growth.
