The Role

The Business Development Manager will play a pivotal role in achieving sustainable growth through strategic planning, market research, and cross-functional collaboration. You’ll lead sales initiatives, manage regional sales channels, and identify new business opportunities to further our regenerative mission.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Growth: Define and implement brand growth strategies aligned with company values.
  • Market Research: Analyse business opportunities and present ROI-driven cases to stakeholders.
  • Sales Management: Own sales budgets, set KPIs, and manage performance across regions.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams for seamless strategy execution.
  • New Business Development: Identify and secure new markets, channels, partnerships, and products.
  • Performance Reporting: Deliver regular insights and action plans based on sales performance.
  • Industry Insight: Stay ahead of trends, exploring emerging consumer behaviours for innovation.
  • Brand Representation: Be a passionate ambassador for the House of Hackney values.
  • Team Development: Train and mentor sales teams on best practices and product knowledge.

Key Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 5 years in a managerial sales role, ideally in B2B within the interiors industry.
  • Proven success in delivering brand growth strategies across physical and digital channels.
  • Strong leadership and collaboration skills, inspiring performance with a proactive outlook.
  • Passionate about sustainability and House of Hackney’s values and aesthetics.
  • Excellent organisational and analytical skills, with high-level IT proficiency.
  • Exceptional communication skills, capable of influencing and inspiring.
  • Experience in global market exploration and business case development.
